If someone attempting to get in shape is reliant upon this reaction to propel them towards working out, they are almost sure to burn out, just like with a resolution. Make friends that have the same goals as you. To make the New Year’s resolution stick, Olivares suggested that people make it a group mission. While 43 percent of those surveyed claimed they would lose weight by eating more healthy foods, about 76 percent of them acknowledged they didn’t do anything to accomplish their goals the previous years. But many of those people didn’t stay the course. Another 32 percent said they wanted to lose weight. Last year, according to an article at staying fit and healthy was the New Year’s resolution of 37 percent of those surveyed.
